Rear seat and window heater problems

Hi All,

I`m having a few niggly problems with my car that I`m hoping I can get some help with.

Firstly, my rear window heater is not working. I had it checked out and there is no reason why they shouldnt. The rear sam is working, there is voltage at the heater input. It was confirmed electrically that there is no breakage in the heater lines. Only explanation is that that recently the rear window tints fitted is causing this. I have contacted the tint installer who has confirmed he has never see this issue before. I could have them removed but will have to pay for this. Has anyone else experienced this or and any advice?

Second problem is with the rear bench on my W204. The front part of the bench on the drivers side wont lock down. I took it to my indy who replaced the plastic clip that its meant to lock into but it still wont lock and we cant work out why. Has anyone experienced this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

I have tints on my rear window and have no issue defrosting it. Is your car up to operating temperature before defrosting?

I have waited 15 minutes to check and nothing but like RuskiBenz says they should work right away.

Just trying to throw out ideas out there so maybe someone can pick up something and help you. Could your tint guy cut your defroster lines on the rear window too deep causing a disconnect?

Thats what I initially thought might have been the problem. My mechanic checked the continuity from one end to the other and confirmed there is no breaks.
