Help with upgrades for 2010 c300 4matic
I just purchaced a 2010 CPO MB C300 4MATIC and i am looking to invest 1-2k in mods to improve HP/TQ and maybe some handleing. Should i buy a new intake? Add a supercharger or a turbo. i feel that there will be a lot of lag with a turbo but i am not sure which would be better. Please help Thanks!

To be completely honest, I don't really see the point in modifying our cars. OP like you, I originally wanted to make my C300 as fast as possible, whether it was full exhaust, turbo etc. But now I just enjoy it for what it is. A quick handling, nimble german sports sedan with a moderately powered V6. Nothing more, nothing less. Not saying you shouldn't do these mods, but they will just decrease the reliability and suit no real purpose. Not to mention it will all cost a pretty penny. Just my 2 cents.

Like C300BLK said you won't get much out of our cars. They are pretty nimble stock and the amount of money spent to get them to do anything wont be worth it by much. It will improve things but not by a big standard. But that aside this is a forum that helps rather than throw out two cents.
So what it is worth to you. For engine mods you can do an intake, exhaust, and tune. You'll get maybe an extra 30-45 hp? After that is a power adder. Turbo or NOS. seeing a turbo would have to be custom it would go well past your 1-2k budget. NOS is the cheap easy route. Any car can be NOS'd but make sure you get it tuned. Our cars already run high compression so adding NOS could cause more headaches then you want. I haven't done much research on NOS on a mercedes but like I said...anything can run NOS.
For suspension. MBArt makes a nice strut tower brace. That along with an AMG or Brembo brake upgrade, lowering springs (H&R), and stiffer control arms will aid in better handling. However this is a heavy car. You can only improve so much before weight reduction is needed to improve further. You can also do a rear strut tower brace but I think you have to cut into the back carpet panels. I could be wrong.
So all in all a few things can be done but it won't improve much. If you really want a beast of a car put that 2k aside and continue building on that until you get enough to sell your car and add your savings to get a C63. Now those can be made fast...
Hope this helps
