Bolt on Quad Tips

Anyone have a source for bolt on quad exhaust tips? How much do they cost from the dealership?

No such thing exists. All tips I've come across need to be welded on.

Anyone know if it would be possible to fabricate bolt on tips? Is it that big of a deal for resale, to have the old tips welded back?

How does having quad tips installed mess up your resale? I dont get it... The average buyer wont even know it was twin pipes vs quad pipes...

Any modifications from stock make the "average" buyer uneasy, in my experience. "Aggressive" styled Modifications => Aggressive Drivers in most buyers minds as well. Also not 100% sure how a dealer trade in would think of it.

It's a cosmetic modification same as installing a nicer set of wheels on the car. You are not talking about installing an x-pipe or changing the exhaust. I would put my hand on fire that if anything, it would make your car more appealing for any buyer.

It's not for nothing that even the dealers offer the option to do this modification (except that they install the whole C63 stock exhaust and diffuser).

Yeah you're right, I doubt it will make a difference. Just wondering if there was an option. I'll likely get a pair of tips and weld them on.

Sorry for bringing up old thread and I was in the process of getting tips welded next to my existing tips for a quad tip setup and was looking for a bolt on as well in case I want to go back to factory. I ran across these on ebay. Getting tips welded seems to be pretty pricey and for the same price as these tips with the option to revert back to stock fairly easily, this seems to be a good alternative. But I'm not sure if it's exact fitment over stock. Has anyone tried these yet?

Those look pretty decent. 2012+ exhaust tips are bolted onto a ~2" flared piece of a pipe coming off of the muffler, with just a single bolt on top. These have 3 bolts, however, the bottom two may be just for stabilization or something.

I have no idea how the pre-facelift exhaust tips attach to the muffler. Maybe take a look on your car.

Also, I can't really tell if these tips route exhaust to one or both tips, might be something to consider.

For the preface lift, make sure you get the ones with the offset Y pipe, the ones from the ebay link above will work with the face lifted only.

I think this is the offset one. If you look the hole to put the exhaust tip in is to the side. But I'm hoping not to far the side. I need one that's about 1 inch less offset to the right. But I cant really tell. This hole though will have enough room to fit the stock exhaust tip (after removing the chrome tip on the stock), but I'm not sure if it will still be off centered after wards. It does give me 5mm room to play with but not sure if its enough. And I have pre face lift.

This is stock tip with chrome surround removed.

This is my car right now.

Yup that's exactly the shape I'll need. These have the same effect but I can bolt on to stock instead of cutting and welding. But I think because of the S piping on the stock the tips will still be slightly off centered

My original plan is the one below. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/264879-c63-diffuser-w-oem-c350-tip-quad-install-pics.html

I already have the extra tips. Essentially it's gonna end up like the tips u posted. But welding is going to cost as much but not easily reversible

I created a mock up on paper based on dimensions given on quality-tuning website, and they will fit without modification to my existing tips. Also will be evenly spaced but they are smaller overall. Each tip on these are 90mm each and the stock is 120mm. So they won't look as aggressive.

I ended up not going with these since they are way smaller diameter compared to stock. Ended up buying the h quads from aliexpress and had them welded on.

Maybe the ones below might be a better bolt on alternative. I actually prefer these style tips over the oval.

It wasn't perfect but I'm pretty sure these are the same ones on ebay. Luckily the imperfections were on the inside top and I can't even see it after install. Because of the imperfection they gave me a $40 refund.
