Question on Tire Sizes
I now there have been many tire questions asked already, but I haven't found an answer to this specific question:
I recently got new rims (17x8) all around, but am still running staggered 225/45/17 (F); 245/40/17 (R) stock tires. I'm almost ready for new tires and prefer not to go staggered for 2 reasons - 1) the rims are no longer staggered; 2) I'd like to extend tire life by being able to rotate them. Would 235s on the front be too wide? Would 45s on the rear be too tall? I'm thinking of going 235/45/17 all around. What would be the pros and cons?

235/45 will work fine. You're going to have a bigger difference in size in the rear, somewhere around 2%. So your speedometer will be 2% off. Front is around 1.5% difference. I see no ill effects from changing to a tire with such small difference to oem. The rear will be about half an inch more in diameter. And the front a quarter inch. This is negligible as different tire manufacturers are all a bit different anyway.
