It's done! It looks AMAAAAAAAZING! I'm so glad I went through with the purchase, and the install. Felling pretty f@#n pleased with myself. ;-)

Thanks for all your pointers man! One last thing. I didn't cut the green wire and everything is working perfectly. All light modes work, and I have no errors in my dashboard. Should I still go ahead and cut it?? Now I'm nervous I might break something, since they're working so well.

I tried using the built-in adhesive plastic bits for the heat sinks, but they wouldn't stick to anything. I'm going to have to go buy some of that double sided tape. I hope the tape doesn't melt..? I must say these heat sinks do make me a bit nervous, especially with all that felt stuff and liner back there in the trunk. Do you think it could be a fire hazzard? Is all the black felt stuff back there (trunk liner and sound isolation) in the trunk fire-resistant?

Anyway. The car looks SO much better now, like a model two years newer than what it is. I'll post some pics tomorrow just for fun!

Correct. Best tail light upgrade you can do without getting into a mess with reprogramming.

That is normal, it is a feature used in germany on the autobahn...my 2009 is the same.
