Beeping and Chiming, I'm going nuts
Has anyone found a way yet to turn off the beeping when starting the car, opening the door, or moving the key? I get 12 friggen beeps every time I get in the car to drive. I'm not opposed to punching a hole in the beeper if that's what it takes. If there is no way to turn off the beeping electronically, where is the beeper?
I'm not mentioning seat belts. They seem to bunch up panties around here.

It sounds like you already may know the answer but anyhow....buckle your seat belt before starting up.
So, what exactly do you mean about seat belts bunching up panties?

For clarification, I buckle up before I ever put it in drive. I feel naked without the seatbelt on. I want to remove the chiming for non-seatbelt reasons, which is what other threads were about that got completely derailed.

Sorry, I am not clear about which chime or the sequence of your activities. Is this the seat belt chime or the key in ignition chime? I just tried my car, and I don't get repeated chimes until about 15mph without a belt. I do get a single chime and key in ignition warning when I open the door. Can you be more detailed about what and when?

That said, I'm not sure what chimes the OP is referring to.
If you insert the key into the ignition with the door open/open the door with the key in, you get a single "bong". If you start it up without your seatbelt on you get the high pitched beeps.
If you are going down the road and it makes a noise to get your attention, it also mutes the radio. The only time mine has ever done this has been when the TPMS went off for a catastrophic tire pressure loss, and when the parking brake has been left on. The car only chimes if something is wrong that needs your attention...

Mine is like the OPs. I get 12 quick beeps after startup. The only way to prevent/stop them is to buckle up.
I pretty much don't notice them anymore but I still hate the "lawyer message" that seems to take forever to get off the radio screen....especially considering all I have is a simple radio.
