2010 C300 quad tip and custom exhaust conversion (pics)
Hey everyone,
Finally got the time to fabricate the quad tip and custom exhaust for my 2010 C300....needless to say, it came out better than I had planned. After watching/reading numerous members perform this modification I decided to create my own setup.
Before:
I got the w204 diffuser off of a 2010 C63 AMG. It clips right up to the factory points and instead of buying brackets as well, I used 3" long bolts that line right up to the factory mounts. Used a few lock washers and nuts to stabalize the diffuser in place. Bought the tips off a fellow MBworld member, check out your tips now
I replaced the resonator with a High Flow Magnaflow muffler with built in X-pipe , dual 2.5" inlet/outlet. I got the idea from a ZR-1 friend who had the same muffler installed on his car except dual/single style 3". It sounds immaculate with the V-6, not ricey at all, portraying a nice deep growl. Instead of running custom 2.5" mandrel bent plumbing from the muffler all the way to the tips, I built in flanges halfway to make the install easier and incase I need to take down the exhaust in the future and so when/if I take down the exhaust it won't be one big contraption to deal with.
Before/After:
I am thinking about making a jig for this setup if anyone else is interested in doing this to their C300.
Cheers!

It looks absolutely amazing! I'm very interested in one of these. Do you think it's louder than my current setup? x-pipe and 2 magnaflow mufflers.

He replaced the resonator with a magnaflow muffler. The muffler quiets the exhaust more than the resonator, so it's not as loud as a straight through exhaust, but I still expect it to be loud. Hopefully, he puts up a video!

Since you are very close to me i like to hear your setup as well. I am thinking of improving the exhaust and i'm toying around some ideas. I think this setup might just be what i am looking for too.
