Clunking rattling sound after installing H&R Sport Springs
 

SOLVED- Just wanted to post conclusion incase anyone searching- turns out the sway bar link wasn't tightened back during the install..so now all is well no sounds at all!!



Just got my H&R sport springs professionally installed on my 2012 C250 sedan with 19" wheels.

There is a hard rattling & clunking noise coming rite around the passanger side tire or around the passanger side floor-it sounds like the front of the car is coming loose specially when hitting bumps... the shop checked & checked again and can't figure out what the problem is- checked the strut, the sway bar, made sure springs installed correct & we can't figure it out...told them about springs maybe binding or top mounts not installed correct & they checked for those issues & nothing...

They said to drive it few days maybe springs need to settle- There is alot of clearance so nothing is rubbing- i'm wondering if maybe the Quad Exhaust i installed last week maybe the culprit but doubt it and they checked for any marks showing if the exhaust is hitting the car-

So frustrating- H&R are quality springs so i dont believe thats the issue i've had H&R springs on my E60 530i before -

any ideas? suggestions?

It's clearly something that they have done...everything that was done needs a thorough check...It was fine before the install.

when i had the H&R springs it was very annoying having it clunk and rattle all the time...no one could fix the problem lol..i think it was the struts hitting each other lol im not sure though.
