To 2nd cat delete or not?

Hello my fellow MBWorld members! I hope you're all having a good day. I was just seeing how many of you have done the 2nd cat delete and what your opinions are on it. The most important thing to me is drone. Is there any drone with this setup?

Thanks!

Do it!!! I deleted my 2nd cats and replaced my resonator with an x-pipe. Sounds so good. No drone at all. I've been meaning to make a video, but I'm too busy with exams, so it'll be mid-December at the earliest.

I've had a 2nd cats-x-pipe-magnaflow mufflers combo before, but my current no 2nd cats-x-pipe-stock mufflers combo sounds better in my opinion. The magnaflow mufflers had a deeper tone, though. I'll give them that. I wonder what no 2nd cats-x-pipe-magnaflow mufflers would sound like.

Also, the 2nd cats are actually resonators.

I suggest you replace the resonator with an x-pipe and see how you like that first. And if you want a slightly louder exhaust, take off the 2nd cats.

I did it and replace my mufflers with the magna flow race mufflers. Slight drone sounds good. It improved my mpg as well

There is no drone and it sounds pretty good plus a 5-10hp gain as well.

Where'd you hear this? I would think there would be no gain, because the 2nd cats were already a straight-through design.

My friend who owns a euro performance shop told me this. I did notice a tiny gain after he did it as well.

I should also include that I already have an x-pipe installed.

Oh and if any of you have the time to maybe record a video outside with the car warmed up accelerating to around 40 that would be nice, or just revving is fine too. Thanks again! I just don't want to do it and then not like it.
