Tinted windows are always nice. Go with "medium" - limo black is an overkill.

i did window tint as soon as i pulled out of the dealer i did 15% all around witch i think made a big difference in the cars appearance I'm just running out of ideas

What problems did you have with your 2010 C300?

A GOOD radar detector is my first mod in all my cars.

i had a trans problem since day 1 with stock wheels a very hard down shift from 4th to 3rd and a hard up shift from 3rd to 4th after fighting with the dealer mb changed the computer and trans twice and after time and time again had the same problem so mb headquarters took the car back and gave me all my money back and gave me a sweet deal on a new lease.

and witch one is a good radar detector because every one i had i throw out the window

So far my 3 favorite brands have been Escort/Bell & Valentine. Most will probably say the benchmark is a V1. HOWEVER it comes at a price. The problem with a V1, is UNLESS you do a stealth install, everyone will know you have one (specifically thieves). I've had a V1 mounted in FRONT of the rear view mirror where only the rear sensor peaks out on the right (so you see nothing from the rear) with a remote on the steering column, but unfortunately thieves know exactly what a V1 looks like and it (IMO) marks your car to have a higher chance of a broken window for a snatch and grab.

But to answer your question...."generally" anything over the $300 mark would be a decent detector. I currently use a Beltronics Pro 300 for the Merc and an RX65 for the Lexus hybrid. Both have ALREADY paid for itself (if you know what I mean).

A lot of new drivers won't understand...but if you do the math, it ONLY needs to work 1 time in it's ENTIRE LIFE for it to pay for itself.

One thing to consider is if you do get one, get one knowing you are going to do a hard wire install AND KEEP IT THERE. Do not let lazyness over come you. I have a buddy who like to get high end everything so he got the V1. Problem was he was too afraid of hardwiring it after my snatch and grab incident so he would put away every time he parks his car. Well this worked for a few months, then eventually he would only put it on long drives. Now I don't think he even puts it up at all.

This is where balance of risk come into play. While I want the best detector possible, I also want the value to not exceed an amount where it is attractive for thieves to steal. This is why i settled on Beltronics. If you look at their model line from a distance, you wouldn't be able to tell their $400 detector from a "$100 Radio Shack" one. Whereas all the cars around you can tell you have a V1.

You can also get a nice roof or trunk spoiler to go along with the vossen rims, it would looks real clean and give the car a more sporty look.

As for the Valentine One radar detector, my family has 5 of them in each car, they work extremely well and actually can tell you where the cop radar signal is.(Light up arrows that point which direction the cop is in) We never had any problems with stealing regardless what car we put it in. I would only recommend taking it down from your windshield if you believe you feel the need to wherever you are, and trust me your senses will tell you when to take the radar detector down.

We have had many types of different brand radar detectors. (I.E cobra, escort.) And the valentine V1 treated us the best so far, as we can see where the radar signal is coming from without ever actually having to look around to find the fuzz.

Edgalang is right about the radar detector paying off. Once you buy it, it may seem useless at first, but once it does its job, you'll be one happy camper.
