2010 C300
Exclamation Can I add Navigation and bigger screen to 2011 C300?

I bought a used 2011 C300 yesterday (I plan to keep the car for a while) and I didn't realize that it didn't come with the Navigation system (bad assumption on my end) . However, I noticed that it did have a smaller screen than the 2010 model my friend has. On the 2010 model the navi system and screen look so much better. You would think that the 2011 is better but it doesn't look like it.

So here is my dilemma. I can still still change the car for the 2010 C300 model the dealer has which happens to have lower miles and has the bigger screen I want. I still have to confirm with the dealer tomorrow if it does have the navi system.

Or is there a way that I can upgrade the computer screen and add navigation to my 2011 car?? If so, does anyone have an ballpark price?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I test drove a 2010 without navi and it didn't feel like I was driving a luxury car. But then it was basic with just memory seats. I ended up getting a 2010 with navi, heated seats, HID. The navi definitely made a difference in appearance and it felt more luxurious.

But a used nav will probably run you about $1000 + then you have to get it installed. What's the price difference?

But if you go 2010 you won't have the LED strip on the bottom left and right bumper which is a common mod here. Instead 2010 will have round fogs. And your headlight housing will be all chrome. The 2011 is partially black if you care for that stuff. Otherwise I believe they're pretty identical. Low mileage is a plus though.

I'm really glad I got one with a Navi. It saved my butt once when I got lost driving around the mountains and I had no GPS or cell phone reception...and I was running out of gas. I drove around for quite a bit in 1 direction and then finally I pulled over and tried my navi and luckily it picked up gps signal and didn't need internet data since the maps are built in. It was a very close one. If I got stuck there was no way for me to call a tow truck so I don't what would've happened.

Sound's bout right, jus went to m.b to day for the same thing. Wen I got there the guy check to c if I already have navigation system wiring already set up (he checked using my vin and the odus program). Mind u I have the audio20. I would be getting navigation using the audio20 screen wit hard drive and ipod upgrade. Best part is I get upgraded sound system. N.e ways parts is 990 n labor is like 160+ and its a 5-6 hr job. I got a 08 c350

So I have a question kind of on the same topic. I have a 2009 c300 with the small navigation screen. is it possible to switch to the larger motorized screen without buying a bunch of extra parts. It would be so nice if I could just switch the screens.

aside from the NTG4 module and the big screen you'll need one extra cable to power the rotor engine, a cooling duct for the NTG4 unit and a new center air vent roster to flip or open/close the screen.
that is if you have the APS50
if you have audio 20 you'll also need a GPS antenna
