Not correct info projectors yes and bulbs have a slight part of it if your bulb is a cheaper quality it wont throw the light correct. I ask for cut off because it focuses all the light and you can see any mess up. The bulbs Fishcake uses have some spot that don't look good.

The projector and projector shield control the cutoff.

Can you please elaborate on the spots that don't look good? If you can provide pictures, that would be helpful too.

I have the same headlights sold by fishcake with HIDs, and am curious to know whether the quality issues you mentioned are evident in my pair.

Here is a couple pictures of my set from fishcake with HID, please note that my left low beam doesnt work could be due to a bad bulb, and the actual brightness is about 60% of what shown in the pictures.
My right low beam pattern is not a bit focus too, but that could be due to I removed the light bulb and didnt install it back correctly while testing the system. I am stopping by fishcake please next Thursday and hopefully can sort things out all at once.

mines in the garage right now driving the acura but the bulb has almost deadspot were it doesn't illuminate the bulbs are just cheaper i'm assuming. I had a problem like this with my last set of DDM hids switched to another brand and the problem was fixed its a hit or miss thing with cheaper kits.

Finally got it installed. Took 4 hours to install headlights, illuminated star (took 2 hours to do it by the book), and hid kit. Aligning the bumper was over an hour. I told the worker (not owner of the shop) I'll give him a $20 for his troubles cuz I felt bad for nitpicking. He had to fully take off the bumper 3 times cuz of fitment issues. The fitment could be better but it's like 90% good.

It might just be because they are new. Leave them out in the sun for a few days and re-check if you get condensation.

Update: I turned on my highbeams tonight for a bit and the passenger side shutter got stuck . I had tested them before and they didn't get stuck, leads me to believe it's something to do with the heat causing expansion inside and causing it to get stuck. it was stuck all the way home, i will check in the morning when it has cooled off if it's still stuck. I reccomend people don't use their high beams or disconnect the shutter, so you still get the H7 bulbs firing up, just not the shutter. Or deal with the problem. Hopefully they fix it for any future buyers because these are some really nice headlights, road illumination is really nice, cut off is nice, and they look really good, especially with the C parking LED lights.

I Wish I would have shaved the shutters a little bit when I got them but I was hoping I wouldn't be affected by the problem. I dont use my high beams enough to care about it yet. If someone really is affected by the problem take matters into your own the company doesn't care enough probably. I would say bake them in oven at 350 for 10 minutes open them up and get to the shutter and shave some of the material down. This way when the heat expands them up you wont be getting stuck. For now I just open the hood and tap on the top of the light and they drop so the amount its touching is very small.

Since I only have the right side low beam on, it's easy for me to see where it shines and where are the dead areas. If you see my second picture above, my light pattern is sort of like a filter shape which is bright in center but the light shine around the center area is dimmer.

For the low beam cutoff line, I did tape mark my OEM halogen beam height and location before the installation and compared it with this hid projector. I would say they are about the same height as OEM. I guess most people think the beam cutoff line is low is due to clean cutoff line doesn't really shine and glare above the cutoffline, while compare to the OEM halogen that has a mild glare above the cut off line.

Overall I have super happy with this headlight and I will get more pictures once i get the bulb fixed this weekend.

Update: Loving my new lights with 5000k Morimotos. Cutoff looks really nice at night, and the road is nice and bright, i highly reccomend these. Except for the high beam shutter getting stuck these are great!

Ditto just did a 600 mile trip from Florida to Kentucky did an all night drive for less traffic loved the lights minus the high beam. People were flashing me with the lights height level they were at so I lowered them. I might take them out and fix the shutter issue.

I haven't had the lights mess up once and I beat on them when I use high beams to get the shutters to fall after driving on dark roads.

So pissed off...had been working perfectly for the past few weeks and now this happens. Disconnected the battery, will reconnect to see if that help somehow. Sent fishcake a message

Edit: looks like one of the wires got cut or unsoldered in the housing somehow...can hear what sounds like the capacitor charging and discharging when its supposed to be lit up

This thread has been very helpful. Thanks to everyone for all the information. I have a problem.

My passenger high beam is stuck. I unplugged the blue wires as shown. The driver high beam is disabled, but the passenger high beam is still stuck.

Any ideas?

I allways tap hard on the top of the headlights and they fall back down.

took the xenons out this weekend and reinstalled the halogens. Really disappointed with whatever caused the problem. I could see a white and black wire inside the headlight that must have been ripped out of their original contact point. Again, I have no idea how adjusting the cutoff would have caused this problem, but that had to be the reason. If anyone is adjusting their low beams, make sure your wires arent a tangled mess beforehand and make slow adjustments.

Fishcake made it sound like I would have to pay to get it repaired ($20-$40 each way for shipping)...that doesn't sound right to me. If it was a faulty LED module he said he was willing to replace for free, but since it is a wiring issue and they allegedly check the lights before shipping, I'm the one on the hook...
