Strange that looks like it was cut more than anything.

That's what I thought at first, but since its affecting one white and one black wire, I doubt that they used to be fused together

BLKROKT 08-10-2014 06:27 PM

Are the wires connected in the other headlight?

Carlos.33193 08-10-2014 08:19 PM

Mine are the same way when i checked them before putting them in the car. there is a cut wire inside. Not sure why but im assuming its part of a harness the manufacturer modifies.

Wow I had no idea, so those might not even be the problem then...I didn't see similar looking wires in my functional passenger side unit, but I will take your word for it

Carlos.33193 08-11-2014 12:05 AM

Yea I thought it was odd too. My main concern when I saw it was that it would short out somehow.

But yours are working properly, correct?

Yes, no problem.

strangebrew 08-12-2014 10:43 AM

Working with Chris (fishcake) has been pretty great so far. He confirmed with the maufacturer that the wires are supposed to look like that, so it must be a problem with the LED module itself. I shipped the headlight via UPS this morning and once he receives it, he offered to drive it to the vendor personally to either repair the parking light or replace the unit. Can't wait to get it back...

Does anyone know a source who has these headlights in stock? Light output on my halogens with 5000k bulbs is way too low, time to upgrade.

been patiently waiting too :nix:. I'm hoping to order from Fishcake and get the HIDs installed as well

odus 08-19-2014 05:38 PM

HIDS that Fishcakes includes are Ok not the greatest I prefer the DDM quality actually.

JaredP 08-19-2014 06:09 PM

I am third on fishcakes waiting list for these headlights with 6000k HIDs pre-installed. He says he does not have an estimate as to when his supplier will have more in stock.

Try UniqueStyleRacing. Even though it said out of stock, they were able to locate a new pair for me and they installed 6000K HID's for me (send them a message through the contact us section). Received them 3 weeks ago and the install I'll say was challenging but got it to work. Had the halogen setup with 5000k diamond vision before.

I got it from them also! I had them do illuminated star the same time when I installed the headlights. It took like 30 mins to install them and an hour to align the bumper correctly (taking off bumper and putting it on like 3 times, told him I'll pay the worker a extra $20 if he aligned it perfectly). Just wiring the illuminated star took like 2 hours cuz my mechanic is a super fat guy with fat hands and had a hard time in the small cramped space near the Sam unit. It was a hot summer day too and sweat was dripping from him too. All in all it was great.

So there is a wait list for the head lights??

JaredP 08-21-2014 10:44 AM

Fishcake is organizing a wait list from his supplier.

I just got mine's hooked up and everything is working great. My car is a 2009 though, so I did the whole front end conversion to make it look good. I got the ones that came with the HIDs pre-installed. I have OEM bi-xenon ones too that I have yet to finished wiring up.

Looks good Romeo.

Off topic, are your mirrors carbon fiber or gloss black? I want to get my spoiler, roof and mirror covers wrapped and I am debating between, going with carbon fiber or gloss black.

JaredP 08-21-2014 01:05 PM

Another poster in this thread stated their headlights from parts4euro did not include HIDs. I just contacted parts4euro and they stated that they do, but only 8000k. It looks like they have them in stock though...

Thanx man! My mirrors are gloss black, and I painted the roof and roof spoiler gloss black as well. I actually think gloss black looks way better than carbon fiber, but that's just my opinion.

:y The black accents you got going around look good. I think I will do gloss black too. Thanks!

Alwayslooking 08-21-2014 02:58 PM

Parts4euro does not have them.......ergggggg anywhere else?

Alwayslooking 08-21-2014 03:27 PM

UniqueStyleRacing....negative....out of stock.

JaredP 08-21-2014 04:22 PM

Message unique style racing directly. I did that and said a forum member let me know you may have some in stock if I message you directly, and they replied asking what type of HIDs I want. But they do not ship to Canada.
