I think condensation is normal the first time you use them. As to the cutoff, Google headlight aiming and use the white adjusters (on back of housing) and a philips to bring the beams up. You just need a tape measure and flat wall to do it. Have you run the high beams for any period of time yet?

To supersunny

They look similar but the way the HID ballast is set up looks a bit different. I just got mine yesterday and opened them up for a quick look to make sure there wasn't any major damage during shipping. The ballasts on the ones I received from USR are the type where the wires go through the rear bulb cover. I'll take photos when I open the packages fully.

Those look a bit different....in a good way. They have auto leveling motors just like OEM which is quite cool. The ballast is mounted where OEM is mounted (I believe?) and wiring is internal.

the auto leveling would be awesome, wish these came with that option.

Was able to take some time and install these yesterday. They look pretty good for not being OEM and totally change the way the front-end of your car looks. Pretty satisfied thus far. I haven't had too much time to play with the high-beams so can't comment on any shutter issues yet. A couple of tips for those who have not installed yet:

-These can be installed solo, but having a buddy there is very very helpful when you're at the last step trying to perfect fitment to ensure no/equivalent gaps between the headlight and bumper/hood/fender. Offer a friend a beer and this install will go a lot smoother and faster.

-This might be obvious, but please do yourself a favor and use painters tape before you take out your oem headlights and also when installing the new ones. Fitment is tight and you don't want to risk scratching your front bumper. I also taped just behind the fenders so the fender flaps don't scuff them up.

Anywho, will try to post some pics later today for you all

Just installed mine yesterday. They look amazing. <Knock on wood> I flashed the high beams a few times, no shutter issues. I'm real big on alignment fitment. So it took me an extra 30-45 minutes to get the proper alignment in relation to the bumper/hood/fender.... The cutoff on the right headlight was too low... so i'll have to adjust that and try it again at night. Love these. changes the front end look of my car.

Thanks!

Sorry for the iPhone pictures, it was hard to get a good shot of these but in person they look great. These are 4300k. The "C" in the headlights perfectly match the LED daytime driving lights. The cut offs aren't too bad right out of the box but had to move them up just a bit. Enjoy!

allenp99 - Very nice! Thanks for posting installation tips and pics. Are the 4300K white enough to match the DRLs or would the 5000K be a better match?

Thanks guys. I'll try to post some pics from the driver's perspective.

From what I can tell, the 4300k from this kit is almost identical to 5000k I've seen in other kits. In other words, they don't have as much yellow as you might be used to seeing and are a bit whiter. They still have that classy oem look though. The DRLs in my photo look yellow for some reason but I can confirm that the 4300k HIDs look very very close to matching the LED DRLs.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions, will be happy to help.

-Allen

Installed mine today. Here's some photos for reference of just the headlights. You can find more photos on my build thread.

No issues so far with the hi beam shutter getting stuck. I haven't left them on for any period though. I did a flash then I switched them on for a few seconds then switched off and didn't experience any issues.

On this headlight I added some hi temp silicone because the amount applied was minimal and wasn't a good seal as I inspected them.

UPDATE 11NOV2014: On one of my drives home I turned on the high beams a few minutes away from my house. Pulled into the garage and turned the high's off with no issue. They were on for about 2-3 minutes so I have yet to experience the high beam shutter sticking issue.

i just installed the passenger side but cannot find a good place to mount the HID ballast. Where is everyone mount their ballast? Can i use the 3M sticker and stick it on top of the wheel well (i know it is ugly but cannot find anywhere to hold the zip tie)?

The passenger side I was able to drill a hole and mount it. The drivers side headligjt had no room I could find so I resorted to zip ties to some what looked like AC tubing. That isn't ideal obviously but it works for now and I'll take another look when I have free time again.

Does anyone know how to drive with this parking lights/daytime running lights setup (as shown in the picture). This is the way it looks when you unlock the car in the dark. I have a 2012 c250 and I can't for the life of me figure out a way to do this. Whenever you turn the parking lights on manually the daytime running lights/foglights turn off.

oh yeah, will the ballast be preinstalled inside the headlight assembly? I saw Phenom30's post and it was not preinstalled

The HID kit is "preinstalled" but it is not contained within the headlight. It is all pre-wired and ready for a remove/replace. You just have to secure the ballast in that area.

I sure hope I get these lights in 1 piece. Ordered them on eBay for $1,285 (including shipping) from Australia over 2 weeks, being shipped all the way to Canada. Finally got confirmation today that seller shipped them but the tracking number doesn't work . I will update you guys once I do installation.

There are many led items on the e-shop and ebay. You can choose the one shop with high reputation and the item is with lower price. Hope you get good one.
