Hi everyone, I am thinking of putting on a set of halo ring for my 2013 C200. What do you guys think?

It looks pretty agressive! But isn't this really a BMW thing? Do what you like of course; I do like how it looks. But still looks a bit too Bavarian Motor Work-ish to me.

Ron Jr 06-10-2014 08:01 PM

Leave that on BMW's

Yes

I would personally leave that to BMWs but if you like it go for it.

Thanks everyone for their inputs, I will take the advice and spend the money and effort on a ecu chip instead.

Ecu chip > halo ring

TheRulesLawyer 06-11-2014 04:05 PM

I like it personally. The HID projectors look better balanced that way. You should be able to pick up a couple CFL rings for under $50 I'd expect.

nvm chickened out

Take out the head-light, crack it open and just glue the halo on top of the silver plastic ring around the projectors. Then wire them with the "C" shaped led. I also unplug the DRL and rewire them to the "C" shaped led as well. Since they all take the 12V, there is no code and everything light up together.

Looks good to me. Nice job. Can you post a daytime close-up pic of the new headlight halo ring so we can get a better idea of its placement?

Doa 08-31-2015 10:22 AM

cool! wouldn't do it on my car but it looks nice
maybe a bit overkill though with all those lights :)

TheRulesLawyer 08-31-2015 04:41 PM

Are you saying you wired the LED running lights at the bottom of the bumper to the C parking lights so they are on during the day? Could you take a picture of the wiring? I've been trying to get this to work!

Sorry bud, I already installed everything back, so I can't really take a pix for you. But basically you need to unplug the DRL and then buy a female adapter that can plug into the DRL and then connect them to the "C" parking lights. U need to use the volt meter to find which wire give power to the "C" parking lights and just splice them and get power from them.

Here is a pix of just the "C", Halo and the DRL on.

Did you have to bake the lights to open them? I had to do that to do a HID retrofit on my wife's car and it was kinda a PITA.

Yes you do need to heat it up before opening them. I used a heat gun.
