New Owner, Many Questions
Hi all! New owner of a CPO 2013 C300 Sport with P1 and Multimedia package. I've always been a fan of the japanese (Acuras) but have plunged into the Germans and love it. However, since it's my first German car and first Benz, I do have a few questions. Also in the future, please forgive me for asking more questions than providing answers to many of you. So here goes:
-where is the dipstick for the oil? and if oil pressure is low, will I be alerted?
-noticed a slight whistling noise from the left side when going over bumps. Seems to come and go, can't really pinpoint if it's front or rear, but it's only noticeable with the windows rolled down.
-running stock 17" rims but been eyeing the 18" AMGs. Do they have to be staggered as well or can I run the same size all around.
-the engine makes a rattling sound on cold start up. disappears in a few seconds. seems to be normal, but since i'm new to benz, i'm not sure if i should be concerned.

Q1) in between the rear firewall and engine cover.
Q2)No low oil warning.
Q3) noise could be suspension related if it is a long whistle its brakes.
Q4) most AMG stock wheels are staggered, aftermarket replicas come both ways 18's and 19's search the forums lots of info on this. Q5) the engine will sound a little rough during cold starts. You should hear a mechanical sound before in idling (ZZZZZzzzzzz). On a side note these cars aren't as forgiving as the Japanese cars, fallow all the maintenance on time and don't procrastinate with service issues. Problems will snowball fast.

Thank you. I'm bringing it to the dealer this weekend and advised them of my concerns. I'll post some pics up soon. Don't have any on me right now, but it's nothing unusual, got it stock all around in palladium metallic silver and just got the windows tinted.

Turns out the whistling noise was suspension related. Shop Forman said they sprayed it and lubed it and has since gone away. They wanted to do more work on it, possible heat shield, but it need the car back. When I get a chance I'm gonna bring it back in. 1st time I brought it in for service and have to say, was pretty impressed.
