Does anyone know if I need this piece to hold the bumper? It broke on me so i want to know if I should fix it and put it back on.
Here is a picture of the part:

You don't really need it, but it's nice to have for stability, so if I were you, I would fix it as best as you can and put it back on.

Yeah, I mean just think about it, you have a carbon fiber lip on, if you hit something with that lip or the lip scrapes on an incline, and you don't have that extra support behind the bumper, the bumper will flex more than it would normally. This can result in cracking up your paint. Without all the foam and plastic pieces behind these bumpers, they are very very flexible and so having that piece will help the stability of the bumper as far as flexing too much and it's an it provides additional mounting support. So yeah, you don't really need it, but it's good to have if you got it.
