2012-13 C300
Hi all!
I'm looking at getting a 2012 or 13 C300 in the coming months and have been searching high and low without much success, is there a trimline that comes with the push start? I currently have a G37 and love the keyless entry/push start, if it doesn't come on these models that may actually be a deal breaker for me so I'm pretty curious about this. If anyone can shed some light for me I would really appreciate it, thanks! |
I have a 2012 c300 sport. Bought it used but no push start, aka keyless go. It was an option but the previous owner obviously did not order this option. I have this on my ML 350 and love it. I do know from my previous research, many C300's are not ordered with a lot of extra options.

Push button start is called Keyless Go. It's a $650 option.

In my experience its an uncommon option. When I was looking I just had to load up the pics of the model I was looking at and search the interior photos. The xenon lights are even rarer. Managed to find a car with both though. Dealers weren't good at listing specific options.
FWIW the engine changed between 2012 and 2013 if you weren't aware. The newer one makes substantially more power. |
Thank you everyone for your responses! I have noticed the xenon kit is pretty much nonexistent in the Northeast but found another thread with some basically identical aftermarkets (not the massive C ones, legit ones). I definitely did not know about the engine upgrade from '12-'13 so I'll narrow my search to '13s with the Keyless Go feature, I just can't go back to the key after never touching my keys now haha. It seems so stupid that MB didn't make it a standard feature when a lot of the competitors have it as such, nothing bugs me more than the bug eyed halogen headlights though that are standard, seems like they miscalculated a lot on these two options to me

Agree with above.
Keyless-GO is a fuuking apparition. As is xenon headlights. I spent an entire year searching the entire U.S. for my vehicle which has both. I WOULD NOT own a daily driver without keyless-go. Im even thinking about getting it for my house and garage to complete the "never fumble with my keys" trifecta. I got lucky and got a COMPLETELY fully loaded C300. I think it has every option available for that year. I think it was a special order for the showroom floor to sell C-Classes. People dont drive the floor model so they went with the cheaper 2WD C300 instead of a 4WD C350 but they optioned it out with everything to showcase the options to upsell people on the cars in the yard. Worked out perfect for me because I didnt want the crappy MPG of the 4WD and the bored out engine NOR did I want the hassle of 4WD components being in the way when working on the car or the extra maintenance. Just wanted the creature features. :p: The dealership was Downtown LA Motors Mercedes-Benz. They probably still practice this as its damn smart so you could give them a call as Im sure they recycle them everytime there is a model change. I setup to have it shipped from "L.A." to "LA". It was about $850. |
