Nice looking and clean garage. Epoxy garage floor was one of my favorite home improvements. You DIY it or had a pro do it?

We just built a new home and my builder did it for free. Now I need to do the 3 car garage down below in the back of the house!

Looks nice. That exposed concrete is just begging for some checkered flag tiles. Or maybe German flag colored tiles?

Edit: Wow, now I sound like every forum member and modder ever. "Just lower it a bit more....that would look hot with 19's...you need one of those sick exhaust whistles!..."

Thanks blitz. I wanted a clean and simple look, I feel the checkered flag theme is a bit played out, since I am a mechanic by trade, having a nice clean floor makes it easy to find small items you may drop like washers, screws, etc...

I tried the stuff from Home Depot with the flakes (DIY). Waited the three weeks before pulling a car on it.
Toyos pulled it right up.
To be fair the tires were pretty warm but still, it was new concrete and I washed it with cleaner before painting. Tires are going to be hot sometimes.
I'm trying Eastwoods product next time.

Looks nice. Why the exposed brick/block on the bottom?

It's a home with a walkout basement.

A nice clean (and easy to clean again) floor is always nice. In my younger years I did custom car audio and security for a living, and having a clean smooth surface definitely made it nice. I'm tempted to do my garage floor, but I'm a little concerned about traction when wet, since my other baby also resides there:

I'm probably being a bit paranoid, but I do move it around, put it up on front and rear stands and take it back down, etc., and I'm afraid of a mishap. I'm sure you could add friction material to the epoxy, sand or whatnot, but then that kind of defeats the purpose of having a smooth surface. Any thoughts on the matter? What's your floor like when it's wet?

Made the mistake of having black flakes in my epoxy garage floor. Makes dropped small parts harder to spot...

True...but it also hides dirt well.

I can see it extremely annoying if you work out of your garage though. Regardless, this was one of my favorite upgrades to my home as well (although I didn't go with epoxy).
