Regeneration

Any tips on how to get my c200 into regeneration mode?

Eg speed, distance time etc. planning on doing it today. Cheers

Sorry, what do you mean "regeneration"?

I meant in regard to the DPF and the process of regeneration which cleans the dpf once reaches a certain temperature

Im experiencing dpf issues

OK, see what you mean now. To be honest, although I know of the issue, I've never had the problem in nearly 6.5 years of ownership of my C220 CDi. Its used primarily around town and on country roads, but does get regular blasts on the motorway. I think thats all it really needs to keep the DPF clear.

Incidentally I had mine remapped about 3 years ago to get more performance. The fuel consumption stayed more or less the same, if not a little better at small throttle openings. Very pleased with it.

Back to the real world:rolf:---and on planet earth regeneration of the DPF does not require driver intervention, unless he wants to really FU the system---otherwise the DPF differential pressure sensor is monitored my the CDI control unit, when the pressure exceeds the design limit regeneration is started and if inturepted by drive cycles continues through the number of drive cycles until the pressure is returned to the design limit.

Another question that I would have to ask is "How you or who at the pub told you to regenate and how did he\she\lbgdr sense the requirement!!

Yes you can force regeneration, but you need DAS Xentry with developer mode authorization plus some experience other than pulling a pint!!
