Would anyone happen to know if a forum vendor or some other vendor has black flat hood badge for sale? I searched all over google, ebay, china, forum and I could only find pictures of this bigfoot, but not the item for sale. It looks really nice and the only thing my car currently has that does not match is the blue laurel hood badge.
They come up on ebay every now and then, but it's probably painted. I have one on my C63 that I found on ebay sometime last year (it was used and someone had gotten it painted).
I went to Mercedes dealer to see if they had it and they told me they were out of stock and germany was out of stock too and they would have to order it. I feel like they were lying to me haha

So it appears that part # is "NLA" from the dealer. Digging in deeper, I'd be curious if your buddy at that MB can definitely get it because it's for says for "European Models Only" and our source says it cannot be purchased due to it being a "blocked item." This basically means that if the car this part fits were never imported to the USA, they won't release them for import. Sorry for the not good news, but if you need anything else be sure to let me know.

He works at one either in PA or NJ I can't remember, but they had it at his dealer and he installed it on his C300. Here are the pics

The emblem in the original post is a part that legitimately is no longer available. The emblem you linked to is a completely different part and is available as part of the W205 "night" package. You can see the difference in that the emblem from the "night" package has black in between the arms of the star whereas the originally posted emblem is the same style as the stock W204 hood emblem except it has a black laurel design around the edge rather than blue.
It took me a while to get one, finally through many sources (mainly MB dealers) from both North America and Europe, I was able to get one. I have another one in order, but who knows if I will get it.

I ordered mine without any problem either. I also spent $30 + shipping, like hell I'd be paying $85+ some people are spending, especially when it's listed at $35 for retail.

Up here it is $59 CAD from the dealer. Expensive compared to the USA. At current exchange we should be paying about $47 CAD.

So, how the part is listed in our catalog is why the shipping is listed at that. Since it's not a part that is listed directly in the catalog and is found via doing a part number search in our search bar our system doesn't know the exact weight of that item.
What I suggest you do is at check out please write something along these lines in the comment box: "This is a small part and should fit in a first class envelope, please adjust the shipping amount accordingly," then somebody will look into it and adjust if possible. I do not see why it wouldn't be adjusted. I will also check on this for you once you shoot me your order number.
