Stagger Rims Nightmare please help!!

Hi Guys, Im pretty sure this has been asked many times, but I'm so confuse with all the information that I had come across so please be patient with me.I have a 2013 C300 Sport 4Matic. the wheel that came with the car are 18x8 front, and 18x8.5 rear. I currently run 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear. my question is: what are my option to have all four tires of the same size in all four corner? after many trip to the tire shop i have decided that stagger does not worth the hassle and the replacement frequency. so please help me out. Thank you.

Pick up a used set of 4 luxury rims (8") and put 225's all the way around and you're done.

Staggered Problem Solved

I had the same issue when buying winter tires for my stock 17's. You could fit 225 40 on the 8.5" rim...it looks a little weird but I've ran 3 winters with zero probelms

Sure, the rears wear faster. Just replace when needed and you're only buying 2 tires. A year later the fronts will need it-buy 2 then. My Discount Tire dealer said no need to rotate side to side, doesn't save on wear. Why all the stress?

well, actually the front wore out faster. I would consider lucky to get 15K out of the front, and it usually cupped before that, so i would be driving around with this awful road slap noise. discount tire does not warranty the tires because they can't maintain it properly (rotate). I have no problem with the rear

If your fronts are wearing out fasting and cupping, I would say that there is something wrong with the car (ie. aligntment, tire air pressure, worn out suspension components).

If you have staggered wheels you have to use run flat tyres.
If front and backs are the same run flats are not required as you can keep a spare. Run flats cost heaps more.

That's the first time I hear that - never had runflats in the past.

Just curious, is this a suggestion or facts? My ride came with 18" AMG staggered from factory and a donut spare. Wonder how stiff the ride can be with RFT on a W204 Sports?
I for one, ditched the RFT on my bimmer due to terrible bumpy harsh ride. The ride comfort is day and night. Never again!

Just fitted new tyres to my new to me secondhand 7 series BMW
Originally they quoted $400 each for tyres as they insisted that staggered wheels need runflats. I told them that the staggered wheels had been removed and after market wheels had previously been fitted they dropped the price to $280 each. These are Aussie dollars which are not so valuable now

This is not true. Staggered wheels DO NOT require run flat tires. Manufacturers are recommending run flats and a lot of new vehicles are coming from factory with run flats, but that is not because of staggered wheels.
