Can't enable AUX in engineering menu

I'm having trouble with car. Driving me insane.

I upgraded my stereo from the Audio 20 to the flip up screen with navi. It has the PCMIA slot in the front.

Everything works great except I can't access AUX. In the engineering menu the AUX is grey and skips over it so I can't enable it.

Anyone experience anything similar? What are my options

I'm in a similar situation where mine says AUX is on but there is no audio. Wonder if there is any dealer programming with the Star system to activate the connection?

Anyone have any suggestions I can try?

turn off video aux, see if that enables changing the audio option, perhaps

I believe that is correct. In the pre-facelift you could only have either video or audio at a time which is why if you wanted rearview camera, you needed to disable Audio aux.

Hi
Go to MB dealers and ask for latest "head unit FIRM WARE" to be installed in your car I cannot guarantee but think this is your only avenue and best possible chance to get this activated.

Maps is not included in this that is another cd.

AUX AUDIO ACTIVATION

Hi Amar

I am having the same issue, and I havenīt been able to fix it with the Camand APS engineering menu.

Have you been able to solve this issue???

ThankS

Eryx - That's totally bananas! Is this fixable with an update? I had to do an Engineering Mode full reset at one point to diagnose a different problem, and I'm wondering if my whole problem with getting Audio AUX working stems from that reset.

I switched the Video AUX back and forth between on & off, and nothing gets me the Audio AUX.

BUMP

Still trying to figure out why my Audio AUX is locked out (grey) and won't allow me to activate. Doesn't anyone have a solution???

Hi all,

I have had a similar problem with aux being greyed out. I went into the engineering menu and selected MOST to off. This enables the aux, at least for my issue, which was installing an android screen instead of flip up ntg4 screen. Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on.

This is a terrible community. Either no one with a C class uses online resources or no one gives a damn. If I had a problem with my VW I'd have it fixed within 24 hours using VWVortex.

MB is weird. Its not much of a DIY community. The AMG area tends to be more active, but not everything applies. I've had more luck with UK based forums in terms of technical info.

Coming from someone with 17 posts or whatever....seriously?

MB cars by nature are far less DIY than VWs but people always try to help when possible.

Tried this bit still no sound from the aux, unless there is a problem with my lead/ port?
