Modification Advice! C300 w204 - EXHAUST

Hello members,

I need Advice on gaining sound on my 2014 C300. I was a little afraid of putting money into the vehicle but I'm glad I started because now I will keep it for a long time!

I YouTubed a lot in order to find the perfect sound but it didn't really do me any good. What do you all recommend to gain nominal sound from the stock exhaust? I don't want it to sound too loud and I am just looking to get a little roar from the car.

I have to go through 6 months of harsh winter so please do not advise me to buy a c63 as its not functional nor do I have the money for it lol!

Please let me know, what can I possibly do to the stock exhaust without losing the warranty on my vehicle? Current odometer reading is 65,000km that I've racked in 2 years and I'm going to be buying extended warranty on it as well. I've driven it since brand new and I plan on keeping it for a while after I've paid it off as well.

Should I just forget the warranty coverage and go for a full exhaust system? My car is dealer maintained and I go to the dealership where I purchased it from at all times.

Cheers! Thanks once gain to everyone! Enjoy the two pics! I couldn't attach more for some reason!

This question has been answered so so so so many times. this is probably the 3rd post i've seen this week about a new guy asking about an exhaust upgrade. Scroll through the forums next time.

From what the crowd get:
Depending on the shop, prices may vary.
1. X-pipes/Resonator delete (waste of money in my opinion) $100 part/$100 labor
2. Secondary Cat delete, gives it a bit of a raspy tone $150
3. Muffler Delete $150
4. AMG quad tips (Fully Aesthetics) $200 part/$100 labor
5. Magnaflow muffler

If you're looking for a full exhaust system, you're looking at about $3-4K

Exhaust mods will not void your car's warranty, it will only avoid whatever warranty you have on the part of the exhaust you are changing.

Agree that there are tons of threads and advice on this topic with just a quick search.
With that said, I was like you and decided to start with an x-pipe about 6 years ago. Liked it well enough that it was the only exhaust mod I have done.

Hello!

Thank you very much for the details. I appreciate it! I search the forums for various questions but they're either too old or not exactly what I'm looking for. I'll do a more thorough search in future prior to posting a new thread!

Cheers!

Yes, I've read quite a lot about the x pipe but considering the mileage and use of my vehicle, I just wanted to make sure that my warranty isn't void after the modification that the other response mentions!

I'll be more thorough with my search, apologies for posting the thread!

Thank you!

From what I remember, 1 being a hybrid to 10 be obnoxiously loud, X pipe will bring your car from a 2/10 stock to a 2.5-3/10 lol

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...flers-etc.html

That should get you started. Then when you’re done with that thread, go to the top right-hand corner of the screen and click SEARCH then ADVANCED SEARCH.

Search for “Exhaust” in titles only then deselect search in “OPEN FORUMS” and search only in “W204” forums.

Now you’ll have all the exhaust information at your finger tips.
