Buying a 2013 C220 Amg Sport Plus
 

I have decided to opt for the W204 Amg Sport Plus sedan instead of the W205 Amg Line, after a lot of thinking from a financial point of view and personal preference, I prefer the aggressive body styling of the W204 Amg Sport Plus model.

Yes the W205 may have better tech and interior but I'm not too fussed about that at the moment.

What would you say are the stand out features of the Amg Sport Plus model?

Is anything about the car better/ worse than the current W205 model?

IMHO:
1. W204 Infinitely better looking than the bulbous and old man's image (fake chrome everywhere) of the W205
2. But W205 rides better and engine is quieter
3. W205 seems to be unreliable and OEM parts difficult to get - dealers here unhappy

I also prefer my W204 more than W205. But, just keep in mind that the AMG sport plus sedan is really not that sporty. The interior is not as nice as the W205. The rear leg room is less also on the W204. No matter what you get, make sure you have the command unit which allows you to add camera or navi in the future. The audio20 sucks and you can't do anything about it.


If price is critical, W204 has advantages. However, I will still give a try on the new W205 C450 AMG model.

Thanks for the replies, at the moment price is a factor also personal preference as stated, I like the sharp lines and aggressive looking headlights on the W204.

I plan to keep the car for 2 years then move on to the W205, this will be my first Mercedes-Benz and I look forward to joining the club.
