Is it being a poser to get an amg steering wheel?

I want a more sporty wheel on my c300. It looks and feels like the wheel on my chrysler 200. I want to get an amg or sport wheel but dont wanna come off as a poser. I will only be touching wheel no amg badges or anythin like that. Only me and passengers see wheel anyway. Thoughts???

go for it

Don't worry what other people think. It's you car so do what you want to. If they don't like it, they don't have to drive it! :D

for the going rate of purchasing an AMG steering wheel. you get my profane respect... :y

Not really, i think the only thing different from an AMG steering wheel to a regular c class is the removable AMG logo at the bottom. For the paddle shifters, i know that some c classes came with one of the packages and didnt have to do the swap. You can just remove the amg tab and replace it off your own steering wheel if it makes you feel better.

No

Hell, we have amg package anyway, and some of our car mats come with amg logos. As long as it doesnt have an amg badge on the rear, I'm ok with it.

Thats what I was thinking. As long as there is no badge its not posing. While I dont care what people think of me I m not the tyoe to drive around in a fake amg just not my style. One day I will purchase an amg.

i did it and love it.

Sure seems like you care what people think otherwise you would have just done it because you wanted to and not asked here what people thought. By your logic you can have all the "fake" AMG stuff you want inside the car and it is not posing. If it is on the outside visible to others, then all of a sudden you are a poser? So the poser line of demarcation is visibility? Not sure I get that logic.

Do what makes YOU happy and don't worry about anyone else...period.

Steering wheel is perfectly fine :). I don't blame you for wanting it, it looks pretty good.

You're only a poser if you slap a massive AMG decal on the top of your windshield of your C300 like a certain member here.

Biggreenogg 09-29-2016 06:57 AM

Certainly poorer :)

It's actually thicker and has better paddle shifter switches. So it's a rather functional upgrade.
