W204 250 AMG Auto Box Jumping into Manual Mode on its own
Can anyone help please?
I have just bought my first Mercedes, a 2011 W204 250 C Class Estate (Facelift model) with7 speed auto box. I have had it about 3 months and sometimes I find that the when slowing and stopping that when I pull away again that the auto box has swapped into Manual mode on its own.
I had thought for a long time that I must have been nudging the gear change, the button or the paddle shifts but I am sure now that I am not.
Has anyone else had this or know of this fault please?
It’s still under a warranty but it’s impossible to demonstrate easily an intermittent fault. Any ideas to prove the fault please?
Thanks
Chris

TCU reset.
-Turn your car to the ON position but not any further as to start the engine.
-Press the gas pedal all the way down and hold for 5 seconds
-Turn your car off while your foot is still on the gas, but leave the key in
-Take your foot off the gas pedal and wait 2 minutes before turning on your car or removing the key
Then get out onto the highway and give it a good go where you don't have to stop and start in city traffic and drive for about 15 min.
