C300 Luxury edition - chrome trim removal?

Hello everyone, can someone please assist me with answering following:

Is it possible to remove the depicted chrome body molding/trim at bottom of doors / above side skirts WITHOUT leaving holes/etc?

I just need to know if they are clipped on and will leave visible holes so they should NOT be removed.

OR

They are just applied with 3M tape and can be easily removed...

Thanks in advance!!!

Yea, should be able to take it off with the ole dental floss trick, the side should come off in 3 separate pieces. The hard part would be cleaning all the gunk from the adhesive. But don't those chrome pieces serve a purpose? I thought those were door stoppers, to stop an outside door from swinging open and denting the actual body of your car.

Do appreciate the input Mr.Brightside - would most definitely like to remove.

Can anyone else substantiate his claim?

Also -- If they did serve the purpose as you described, I think I will manage as 90% of the time - I park in east butt**** so no one is near me. If by chance they do park near me, they are picked up on one of my 4 cameras running in parking mode.

Thanks again!!
