It's seems not piggyback, that's why ask here if someone have more details
If its the same engine as the c180CGI facelift model and its Heinz performance belgium you are talking about, it is a piggyback. Ive asked several years now in a row for my girls car to 2 of the 'biggest' tuners in belgium which is Heinz and Br performance and they have told me everytime its a piggyback.
They can however tune the 1.6L for the c180CGI but not the 1.8. If Im not wrong the engine of the 250 is the same as the 180 (1.8)
Unless they have a breakthrough the recent months I dont see this would be an Ecu remap

This must have been quite recent then, Last time I checked with them was a couple months ago?

I am from HK and saw it someone past at a China forums, just want to know more, after that there have no more updates, dont know its working or not...tks
To clear the confusion for everyone, i can confirm that the C250 1.8T M271EVO engine can NOW BE REMAPPED ( no piggy back ) .
The protocol to tune the ECU has come out in March 2017, so now tuners particularly in Singapore and China have already remapped C250'S now. We should start seeing the North American market to offer REMAPS for the C250S now.
Now i know nothing of Heinz performance
the method of tuning is, you have to send your ECU to them, but they dont have to open it, so no worries about that. Now we can finally go further with the C250

What companies are the one's tuning the C250 or who did you confirm with? Been waiting for this moment since I got the car in 2013 lol
