Anyone have idea's how to remove the broken off t10 bulb wedge. I tried a vaccuum but it didn't moved at all. |
Happened to me ... I just yanked it hard and it came out with a piece of surrounding housing :) I believe the heat is the cause.

Yeah the housing is too narrow so the heat can't be flowed away.
The construction of the eye lid housing is just poorly designed hence t10 led bulbs will wear out in a matter of time. Did you managed to remove the broken parts out of the housing and how? |
the only way to remove it without any damages is to remove the entire headlight unit, and shake it out. It will be super hard to come back out of the eye lid socket. so shake it enough where it will drop inside the low beam/high beam/side lights. Then remove the side light bulb and you will have enough room to drop it out.
I did this a while back when my led for the eye lids were going bad and had to remove it and it fell in. So i said bye bye to LED and swap back to stock bulbs. |
maybe one of those claw grabber things like you use when you drop something in a crack or the engine bay. see if it fits in the socket and try to grab it. otherwise take the headlight out and shake it.
|
Better option is as said before, take the unit out and shake it till the led part comes out...
Till today cant find a single led that can work for more than six months. Its all the same: too much heat and poor dissipation. The best led for our cars would be the led resistor be outside the housing with just the led inside. That would make it! |
