First [lasting] snow of the season. Tl;dr: Conti DWS06 tires are amazing.

Just put a set of those on my car about a month ago, but didn't have a chance to drive in the little snow we got yesterday. I had those same tires on my Jaguar X-Type when I had it and was very satisfied with them in the snow. As much as I hate snow, I am perversely kind of curious how they will be in a big storm. Had some Kuhmos on it when I bought the car and those were pretty good. Am hoping these will be even better. The 4Matic performs head and shoulders above the AWD in the Jaguar. That had an open diff that put all the torque to the tires that would spin, but with the DSC they had it was pretty effective, but overall a kind of stupid design.

Any advice on painting of the trim I painted my back chrome and bottom sides also but it came out weird I applied glossier not sure if that is cause but the back chrome looks like a faded black and chrome on doors is starting to peel already may not help I did it on a cold night in my friends garage

So far so good. Had some scares before the snow on some ice, I guess that can be contributed to the larger surface area than OEM.

I only plasti dipped the rear trim piece. There are temperature requirements, and it does take a bit of skill.

- Gave a shot at LED eyelids

Long story really. Happened when I was in Europe. Long story short I have family in Italy/Europe and some friends in china, and was able to make it happen. Was working on a different design with a Mercedes logo (other logos too) but not released yet. Had to take a small break from it. There are some knock offs or other brands that make similar ones too. Overall for me it's my favorite interior mod.


Question: does anyone have raised center caps? And we have 75mm correct?

Really nice! My friend that lives in China showed me them long ago, but at that time they had lots of flaws. With materials from Italy we were able create a similar concept but with better materials and I was able to make different designs. I liked the stitch look so I went for that. Those look really good! Honestly I can't wait to get this new design completed, it looks great.
