Battery compartment of GL 450 Flooded
2008 GL 450 battery compartment accidentally got completed drenched with water from a gallon of Distilled water. The battery will not hold a charge for more than 24/48 hours -- took it to RBM of Atlanta and they could not find the problem. The car was just paid for in full. After MBS Motors charged me $1,500 to fix it, it still did not work, I took it to another mechanic who took it to Mercedes, and they cannot figure out the problem. Is my car trashed?

I would say it's not trashed but this is the W204 C-Class forum.
Try posting in the GL forum or one of the generic forums and provide some more details. What was fixed so far, what has been ruled out, etc. It could be the water was just coincidental. BTW, how did a gallon of distilled water wind up in the battery compartment.

There are lots of electronics under the passenger seat in the w164. There are threads dating back to 2008 dating to accidents involving substances spilled and wreaking havoc including alcoholic punch. Big mess.
