Not starting after flat battery
Hello there
I have a problem with a C class 2007 newer model.
The battery runned flat overnight do to some lights left opened.
Called AA in the morning and trying to jumpstart.
The battery is back to live, ignition on ( all the lights and dashboard working)
Turn the key to crank and nothing happens not even a click.
On the dash coming *front left faulty check workshop*
The guy from AA runned a diagnose and came up with
*203A CAN communication with SAM check*
i am not sure if they runned a star diagnose
I have called an independent mb specialist and he told me (over the phone) the front SAM is burned due to jumpstart
Towed the car there for a diagnose and after 2 hours they called me saying that the steering lock is blocked OFF and that is why not starting. The car have been like this for 3 years.
i know that the guy from the garage are good with Mercedes.
However they don’t know what is wrong with it and trying to gues.
this is all the info I have as they are closed till monday
is that the front SAM? And why the specialist is saying that is an other problem?
i don’t think is the starter as the AA engineer took out the fuse and bypass the starter with the ignition on, it was spinning but not starting.
we can say that maybe not enough power, the battery was connected to jumpstarter and the aa car same time.
please help me

How old is your battery? Could just be it died and does not have enough power to start the car. Did the shop do a load test on the battery?

I don’t know how old is the battery
when the AA guy came he connected the battery to a jumpstart and tried to start the motor. After that he connected the AA car and the jump start to my car Ian’s still nothing
I think with 2 power supply connected in the same time was enough power
thanks
