Kleemann W204 C300 Tune Review

Tune on a 2013 C300. Great service from Kleemann USA. Sent ECU Monday AM from upstate New York--back in my grubby arms today at noon. Cory at Kleemann kept me up to date during the whole process via e-mail. Installed today after work.

First impressions: tooling around town at part throttle, you notice the improved throttle response right away, but apart from that not much different from stock--maybe just a little improvement.

THEN.....................I STEPPED ON THE GAS!.........................WOT!................. ......HOLY CRAPOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a difference. Boy, this thing is a different car!! I bought the car with the intention of trading up to a C43 in two years. I have to re-think that! The C43 has more low-end torque (forced induction) and is faster at lower RPMs, but higher up in the rev range, the two now seem very similar. Way less of a difference then before. This was money very well spent!!

Now I gotta find a used Eisenmann exhaust and a company that makes a Keyless Entry and Keyless Go retrofit kit for the car and everything will be good!

What was the cost and time involved? I assume you couldn’t drive the car during this process?

Welcome to the tuned M276 club. Glad you like your tune; HOWEVER keep in mind the C43 owners will also tune theirs. The C43 IMO is currently the best bang for the buck W205 right now (after a tune).

Cost: $1295 for the tune plus overnight shipping.

48 hour turnaround time (overnight shipping to get the ECU to them, they tune and overnight ship back to you the same day, then you have it the next day), and no you can't drive the car during the process (unless you happen to have a spare ECU to put in your car).

I agree, and from what I've seen, the C43 tunes go up to 450 HP! THAT would be something!! I was VERY impressed with the C43 that I test drove recently. Considering that my C300 was only $26.2K (Canadian prices) to purchase with only 15K miles on it (and Star Certified with 0.9% purchase financing), it was a great deal. Almost $25K to trade up. That's a big pill to swallow!

Do you feel any difference in transmission when it shifts?

Doesn't appear to have any changes to the transmission shifting. It just goes through the gears faster than before.
