Üro parts or BEHR blower motor?

So my blower motor for my c300 went bad and needs to be replaced , everything is taken out and I'm ordering but I'm stuck between two brands. üro and Behr , üro is about $80 cheaper but the blower motor in my c300 was behr stamped. If anyone as experience with Üro or Behr please share.

Uro generally does not get good quality ratings - I have used their hoses in some applications and they were fine - if the unit is easy to replace again - I would go for it ... if it is a lot of work - go with the behr ....

at at least this is not a critical part that will leave you stranded ...

working upside down under the footwell was a pain in the *** and removing allot of things to get to it was a struggle. I went with Behr

I've never heard of Uro, so I would have gone with Behr as well.

I got the Behr one when I did my replacement. It's a pain getting into there, I would hate to cheap out and have to replace it a year later. Save yourself the hassle and get something that you know will last a few years.

Mine just failed yesterday and it freezing cold here, I didn't want to wait 2 week shipping so I got a URO blower motor from my local part store, the brand has had quality issues in the passed but apparently got a lot better, online you can see cheaper ones and when I compare it with the OEM BEHR one, the quality is the same and built the same, the cheaper ones had slight differences like different bolts holding it and felt flimsier.

My URO one fit perfectly and it has 1 year warranty so if it shows any signs of wear il probably swap it out in 11months and get another one under warranty.

Hoenstly the BEHR failed and its only 9 years old, if mercedes made them servicable they would just need a clean up and some grease on the bearing and you're set for another 9 years but they seal it like a lot of things they do so you cant service it.

Yea i was tempted to go with uro since its $80 cheaper. The original blower motor was behr stamped so i went with that , and the few uro buyer beware stories turned me away.

Well only 2 days with the uro blower motor and already it started making noise when its cold, very livable but noticeable, the BEHR is definitely the one to go with for 80$ more, I cant even imagine the 100$ ones on ebay, they must be even worse.

How did you do that ? I tried removing the plastic empeller and I cracked it, they sealed it so you can't service it from what I saw, mine was old and had a lot of black dust, guessing its from the magnets. Im really curious how you took yours apart.

The bearing is easily greased. No need to remove impeller. Easy job on mine (2009)

Did you do it or a mechanic did it for you and told you he did it ? The motors have a sealed pressed metal rings that you cant remove so you can't get to the bearings.. If you know a way please share in details because the issues with these motors is they just get noisy because the bearings dries up, they rarely fail completely, just need cleaning and lubrication.

I did have a weird noise at a certain speed but I took it out again to check and one of the screws holding the motor was loose, guess quality control failed for URO parts but once it was tight, it was just as quiet as the oem one.
