Looking for '12 C300 4matic
Hello everyone,
I live in Lebanon it's been 3 years now and I drive a 2005 CLK 320. I lived in Canada for 8 years before that where I drove a 2003 CLK 320.
I love the CLK and its pilarless design a lot but I am ready to move from a coupé to a sedan for various reasons.
I am definitely going to buy the C300 from a Copart or an IAAI online auction in the US and have it shipped to Lebanon where labor is cheap to repair. I have a friend who does that for a living so I'll do it through him and I'll only buy a lightly damaged car (one requiring a new front/rear bumper and headlights. No other major damages.) I am looking for a 2012 C300 4matic with low mileage (below 40-50k miles) and the Iridium Silver - Bright Silver Metallic Clear Coat Paint (Code 775) just like the car below:
I decided on a 2012 to benefit from the interior and exterior facelift while sticking with the M272 engine. My mechanic friend who works at the local Mercedes dealership has advised me to stay away from the M276 because of how much he works on cars with these engines (mainly the high-pressure fuel pumps failing, the timing chains rattling and requiring the check valves, amongst other issues). So, I'd rather stick with the mature M272 engine.
My planned mods are:
I am interested in listening to opinions and feedback from 2012 C300 drivers on this forum and to the advice(s) they could have for me given everything I mentioned above. Anything you'd do differently?

- DEPO headlights since it's very rare to find C300s with the Xenon factory package
- Morimoto HID Kit to switch the car from Halogen to Xenon
- SL-style one-fin grille
- OEM trunk spoiler if the car does not have it first
- Paddle Shifters
- Aftermarket parking sensors
- since I already have an older STAR for my CLK (I do my own diagnostic)

Any major problems you ran into with it? Anything memorable?

my 12 C300 is white .
on my 12 C300 had my transmission replaced under warranty for bad transfer case. also just replaced this summer the front struts with Bilsteins B6 Hd struts. {did it my self}
otherwise it's been very good to me but i also have the extended warranty on it in case stuff happens.

LOL That's my 16 C63S AMG it's iridium silver .
my 12 C300 is white .

I'm a bit surprised the 722.9 engine was still facing problems in 2012. Was the issue specific to 4matic models?
