Things to check Before Warranty Expires.

Hey all.. So my factory warranty expires on Jan 1st 2018. I was wondering if anyone has a list of things to check before warranty expires so i can get it done for free. Should I just go to an Indy and have them do a PPI check ? Any other suggestions.. Any common things to diagnose ? Thanks in advance.

Generally the dealership will not replace parts under warranty without a good reason, like if you just take it in to have them "take a look".. If there is anything about the car that squeaks/rattles/vibrates/doesn't work then take it in and have them address it.

Thanks for the input. I have made an appointment with an MB specialist Indy to do a PPI checking for different components to see which can be replaced by dealer under warranty. The indy asked for $115 to perform the PPI. Is that a fair price ? Thanks in advance.

$115 is basically cheap insurance. Even if he finds one thing.

Personally I'd take it to the dealer directly to have them do the inspection. Remember, warranty is paid directly from Mercedes to the dealer. It is in the dealer's best interest to perform warranty items and to find as many repair jobs as possible.

Mercedes pays to the dealer only during the 2 year factory warranty. Dealers usually offer extended warranty from 2 to 4 additional years and they cover all expenses by themselves so they are not very eager to replace

What do you mean? Mercedes cars come with a 4 year factory warranty and Mercedes also sells extended warranties on their cars as well. Warranty work on cars covered by factory warranties or Mercedes factory extended warranties are still paid for by Mercedes...

What country are speaking of? Perhaps that's the disconnect, but in the US, standard factory warranty is 4 years/50k miles. All paid for by corporate.
