What can I expect to pay for a PPI inspection by Mercedes dealer? How detailed are these inspections :
- is it detailed like certifying CPO vehicles?
- or is it just a complimentary inspection that the dealer does routinely when you take your car in to the dealer?

Now I have a question.

My C250 has a 11/11 build date. That means the battery is getting close to age 6 1/2.

The local MB dealer's service direct told me the best method for battery replacement is

"Call MB 1-800 Road Service. They will come out and replace your battery"

Then he gave me a written estimate.of circa $200-$250 buckaroos - nearly 2 years ago.

HOW LONG SHOULD MY OEM BATTERY REASONABLY EXPECTED TO LAST?

Standard expectation is 4-5 years. HOWEVER...if you have this...
...you can get out of the guessing game and know for sure.

The MB Roadside service experience was actually very positive today.

I spoke to a pleasant young lass; she said the tech will call me and indicate his ETA.

He arrived slightly ahead of time - - - replaced the age 6 4/12 battery and reset the car's electrical system.


Color me impressed.
