Test Pipes/ Cat Delete for C350

Hey everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone has either tried to gut their primary cats on their W204 C350 or has found test pipes for it. Also any dynos done to show the power increase?

So I decided to bite the bullet and do it. I installed a custom test pipe in my 2013 c350. A tune is required to optimize it but it definitely picked up some power. The only thing is you need a good catback system in order to negate that civic sounding test pipe rasp that comes along with it. Overall I would say it helped pick up power, but the sound of the car does change a lot. I prefer the sound before test pipes, but the power after. Dyno and tune coming soon.

"civic sounding" is what I call "Fart Cannons." I would put the cats back on before letting my car sound like that.

High flow (ex. 200 cell) cats would be your best compromise.

This is why I suggested a good catback system. Not some straight pipe hack job, an actual system for sound tuning your exhaust like Eisenmann. But test pipe rasp will always come no matter what, even on some v8s like the mustangs. Some high flows have it as well. If you go this route, a proper catback is required for the best sound.
