Resreseting the "from reset" and "from start" menu's
Anyone have an idea of what I might be doing wrong? In my 2003 Mercedes SL500 you can reset the trip and MPG resets either driving or at a stop. You get real MPG mileage.As low as 8mpg after startup pulling out of the garage, as high as 32mpg loafing along in top gear at 40mph. On the 2012 C300 4matic I just got it works differently. I have read the owners manual and looked on here for help. When resetting the "from start" and "from reset" portions thru the sub menu with the up/down and side to side arrows on the left side of steering wheel there are 4 things that are supposed to reset, miles, time, mpg and average speed. I have tried resetting both and at rest they rest to all zero, but as soon as you start the car, or even if you reset it while moving, it never resets the MPG. The MPG is always starts around 21mpg, give or take a little bit. If you reset and pull out of your garage right after start up the mpg should be way lower, maybe 8mpg, maybe 12 mpg, real world mpg but it ALWAYS starts in the low 20's? Any advice on how to get it to reset to the actual mpg?
