Reading Updated Airbag Control Module with iCarsoft
The dealer just replaced my Airbag Control Module as part of a recall campaign and as per the receipt the tech had to code the new module to the car using STAR.
I have an iCarsoft i980 which I like as I can read all of the systems on my car and see if there are any error messages. After they replaced and recoded the module, the iCarsoft no longer recognizes the Airbag module as communicating on the Canbus... what do you think could have happened? Is it possible for the tech to hide system menus using STAR? Or is this new software just not working with the scanner as the recall was ordered in 2015 (new generation of Benzes which the scanner does not recognize).
