My C300 is noticeably slower than other C300s
I have 2008 C300 sport sedan with 57k miles (all maintenance/fluids/filters up to date)
My friend has 2008 C300 sport sedan with 137k miles (not maintained as well as mine)
I've taken both cars on many long road trips
My C300 definitely feels less responsive to throttle input. I notice it as soon as I get into my car, there is absolutely no doubt about it.
The best way I can describe it is... it feels like I have two big guys in the back seat with me at all times
OR as if my car has much taller gearing
Is it possible that these cars actually came with different gearing ratios?

If you are talking about the responsiveness it could be your driving style. Maybe resest the TCU. Do do a search on here and you should be able to find the procedure to do that. Your car "learns" your driving style and after many miles it might default to more of a "leisurely" throttle inputs and shift points.

The transmission is supposed to adapt to your driving style.. I wonder if you both reset your cars and then you drive them both, whether you’ll feel the same or not.
Does driving in Sport mode change for you? Mine always starts in comfort mode and that’s sluggish since it starts in Gear 2.

Wow! I didn't even think about the TCU adapting and that potentially being the issue here.
Both above mentioned C300s seem to accelerate about the same with the pedal to the metal.
It's really the partial throttle response at lower rpm that is REALLY sluggish in my car.
I've always driven C300s in Sport mode, never Comfort.
So I am going to do the TCU reset. From what I understand it's - key in pos2, throttle to the floor for 10sec, key in OFF, release throttle, dont start engine for at least 2 minutes.
