Thanks. After 6 years that car remains absolutely solid. Never any major issues. Great to drive and I loved the audio system. I will be using mikes guide to upgrade the ****ty sounding burmester on the w205.
Congrats on the purchase but I can't believe that these luxury-marketed Burmesters are crap like that! It pisses me off to see MB cheapening out like that. Same applies to still offering halogen headlights while Kia's and Hyundai's now come with xenon as standard.

I can't believe you liked the audio 20, I can't wait to get my HK speakers in this summer. the W205 defiantly grew on my I'm sure you'll have a ton of fun in the new car! any mod plans?

The W204 audio 20 system was tuned and powered properly and the sub rolled just right. IMHO. You couldn't tell where the bass was coming from. The W205 sub sounds like the bass is coming from inside a tin can.
I might try an amp upgrade (like mike) , a diamond grille and those new 3d Burmester looking speakers with RGB illumination.
What I really want back is my illuminated star (I have distronic) and remote start.
Congrats on the new car. To be honest when I listened to the BASE audio vs the HK, it was night and day. I just had to have the HK sound system. It was a no contest decision.
So that being said, the Burmester system must REALLY suck if you hate it that much. Very surprising to me.

I own both a 12 w204 audio 20 and 2016 w205 burmester system and I agree. The w204 kicks harder sounds better.
what I have to do is set bass maxed and tremble to almost max and mid's to like negative - 4 to sound ok
