Shut down

Hello, I’m new to the forum and looking for information. My wife was driving our 2017 c300 when the vehicle shut off losing steering and breaks. Luckily she was not injured. Anyone else have this problem or hear of it ?

2017 C300 is over in the W205 forum. They might have more information as the W204 doesn't have drive by wire as that was introduced on the W205 with the 2015+ C300 model years.

What exactly do you mean by loosing steering:
1-The steering wheel lost connection totally to the wheels-whatever you do has zero effect or feel-?
This sounds like a very dangerous situation, recall.
2-The steering just lost power assist and more effort needed to steer-?
