2013 C300 Sport Questions
I found a 2013 C300 Sport with 75k miles for $15,454 at a local Maserati dealer, test drove it and it seemed to run just fine. I hear the transmission has issues, should I even consider this one? I asked about a 3rd party warranty but for full coverage 4 years it was $6200, I said no..2 years would be $3600. II think for just a powertain warranty he said around $2000. What are the opinions? It had the valve gasket replaced in 2015 and for some reason the windshield was replaced in 2015 also. I did call the dealer who has been doing the work and left my info but they did not call back, I will call them Monday. The family of dealerships has a MB location, I did call them and talked to s salesman if they can bring it to their location for me to buy, I bought a GLK350 form them before, maybe I can get a better deal.
Also, can I get a MB extended warranty even tho the factory one is done or does it have to be 3rd party?

The warranty is stupid high. I think a powertrain only 2 years is $2k, thought about not getting any and just hoping it does not have any issues

2012 C300 4MATIC Sport
The 2013 C300 has the M276 engine which is a direct-injection engine. The high-pressure fuel pump tends to fail on these. Google that and you'll see plenty of threads about it.
The secondary timing chain also produces rattling sound during engine startup until the engine oil builds up and the fix is to Install non-return valves (check valves) and replace left and right secondary chain tensioners as required. Install check valves by inserting them into the tensioner oil supply opening in the left and the right cylinder head. Look up MB Service Bulletin LI05.10-P-056435 for more information.
I'm in the market for a W204 and I am sticking with a 2012 C300 4MATIC which has the more reliable M272 engine. Less horsepower and worse fuel consumption, but higher peace of mind especially if the car is out of warranty.

I have just about 60K miles on my 2013 C350, with absolutely no issues with anything on the car. I use Mobil 1 oil and perform service per the WIS documents as scheduled
