Car wash at dealership - then check engine light
Grrr.., drove to the dealership for my VIP car wash. Get the car back, hop on the highway, gun it to get to highway speeds and i notice it doesn't seem to want to go up in gear (using paddles). Look down - CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
Back to dealer I go...they couldn't test it. Coolant temp was too high. SO I had to leave it. Now in a loaner (don't mind a GLC for a while) ..
any ideas? could a control module have gotten wet?

When my car go for a service or to dealer, I write: "Do not wash this car on the service manager paper I have to sign(Advice I got when buying a new Merc)". You just dont know where those unqualified hands go with which force.

car wash was the only reason I went to the dealer on saturday - well, I am also looking for a commuter car and my salesman and I were going through the list of wholesale cars looking for a gem.
