Headlights turning off while driving at night (c180)
Headlights go out for a few moments while driving then come back on. This happens randomly and infrequently. Any ideas what the cause might be? Mechanic suspects it's a switch problem but is not certain. MB Kompressor c180 2008. Thanks.

MB Kompressor c180
Standard issue bulbs (Europe), not halogens. I asked mechanic if it was a bulb problem; he was certain it wasn't. He might or might not be correct on that but he is generally reliable in diagnosing problems.
