H7 Low Beam LED verification
Hi all, so as I'm sure lots of you have upgraded your stock halogen bulbs to LEDs, I had that infamous "check right low beam bulb" warning this morning on the way to work. The swap was self explanatory and makes an enormous difference. They're described as CANBUS, but I still got the warning..
Will a H7 LED Warning Canceller Decoder/Load Resistors solve my problem? And if so, do they fit inside the headlight housing if I go that route? https://www.ebay.com/itm/x2PCS-H7-LE...:pf:0&LH_BIN=1 Thanks, Etienne |
I'm not sure if it will or not but am interested to know as well. I've just been hitting the okay button on the steering wheel to clear the code everytime. I've got some diodes left over from another application that I may try out. Let ya know if it works.

it should because those system checks are based on the currents and not just if the circuit is open or closed

I tried this cheap LED: https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-8000LM-...frcectupt=true on my 2011, not error message. I tired another LED before this one, no error message. None of them claims 'error free'. Only thing I don't like is their beam patterns.
I also replaced front and rear turn signals with really cheap LEDs, no error messages. |
Thanks for the replies fellas, I purposely waited couple days to see if anything would change. Anyways, it seems the warning only comes on mornings. On the way back home that day, no messages popped up whatsoever. I may just get that thing from my link and report back due to how inexpensive it is. Thanks again
