leaky oil pan

I was under my car yesterday since I saw an oil spot in my garage and noticed it looks like the oil pan is leaking from the gasket. Doesn't seem like too big of a job to replace but I also watched a youtube video of replacing it. and the one I watched, the guy didn't use a gasket he just used permatex forma gasket? is there no actual gasket for it or did he just not use one and go for the permatex instead?. I'm almost 90% positive its the pan b/c I didn't see any oil coming from anywhere else and it was around the seal of the pan. Anyone else run into issues with theirs? Its an 09 C300 with about 82k miles on the clock.

FCP Euro or Rock Auto does not show any oil pan gasket for your car. FCP Euro only shows "Oil Pan Gasket Maker".

Grey Permatex RTV is what I used..1/16" wide bead on clean pan flange which I let set up for 15 minutes before assembling. I also have 3, 25mm long metric bolts same thread size as pan bolts (sorry, don't remember specs) with heads cut off which are inserted in the pan base so I can place the pan precisely without it moving around while I bolt it up.
