can anybody confirm if this year / model had TPS? thinking of going to aftermarket wheels and want to make sure

decode the vin.

Are you talking about tire pressure monitors? If so, what does going to after market wheels have to do with it? And wouldn't you already know it it did as you own the car?

Or are you talking about a throttle position sensor? If so, I still don't get what that has to do with aftermarket wheels.

What am I missing?

yes tire pressure sensors. was looking for a quick answer to see if I had to spring for some new ones or what. car has almost 96k on it and these batteries usually start going by then. I am new to Mercedes. I guess proper nomenclature should have been TPMS

But if you own the car you should know if you have sensors or not?
If you have them and they are working, up to you if you want to get new ones with new wheels. Probably not a bad idea as they aren't very expensive.
